Submit the booking request form, and I’ll follow up to confirm the route, date, meeting details, and next steps. Once the plan is set, you’ll receive payment and waiver information to finalize your booking.

Trips must be paid in full up front. Any changes will be subject to the Cancellation Policy.

No, we do not offer transportation at this time. You are responsible for your own transportation to and from the trailheads.

Meeting locations vary by route. Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a precise GPS pin and parking instructions for our specific trailhead. For remote routes like the Yellow Dog River, we may coordinate a meeting spot in town to caravan.

Some trailheads have bathrooms, but there are no bathrooms on the trails. I recommend a "last call" before heading from the trailhead.

Text or call me at 906-202-4997. I allow a 30-minute grace period, but because routes are planned around timing, daylight, and safety, we may not be able to start later than that. Please build in a little extra time for finding trailheads and parking.

After booking, you’ll receive a short checklist. Generally:
Proper footwear (trail shoes or hiking boots)
Water
Layers (UP weather changes fast)
Snacks/lunch (depending on trip length)
Rain layer recommended

We do not offer gear rentals at this time. However, Marquette has many local outdoor outfitters for anything you might need.

On most routes, yes! Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome. However, dogs are not permitted in Presque Isle Park. For moderate and challenging trips, please consider your dog’s fitness and paw-toughness on gravel and sharp granite. Please note: You are responsible for cleaning up after your pet.

Absolutely, but match the child to the route. Our Easy and Moderate trips are great for families. Challenging routes require kids with hiking experience and a good attitude toward elevation, longer distances, and most importantly bugs. If you’re unsure, please reach out and I can suggest the best fit for your family's ages.

In and around Marquette, yes. In some spots on the South Trails and especially the Yellow Dog Plains, no. This is part of the off-grid value of hiring a guide. I carry a satellite communication device for emergencies so you can truly unplug.
